Ashleigh Streiff is an award winning, multidisciplinary artist who works primarily as a painter. Through her work, Ashleigh explores the idea of connection through moments that are often overlooked. She has lived in Maryland, Germany, North Carolina, Idaho, and now on the island of O’ahu in Hawai’i. Living in so many places throughout her life has provided Ashleigh with a personal understanding of how the natural elements of a location impacts one’s perception of their world. Whether it be through portraits on the beach, or the Native Hawaiian tree snails, known as Kāhuli, she emphasizes the aesthetic quality of light and color in Hawai’i to capture her subjects.

Ashleigh earned her BFA in Studio Art in Design at the University of Idaho in May of 2024; she was a recipient of the Alumni Award for Excellence in 2023 and the undergraduate recipient of the Program Excellence Honor in the College of Art and Architecture in 2024. Most recently, she was the recipient of two “Best in Show” awards, one at the Pastel Artists of Hawai’i: Beauty of Pastels 2026 exhibition, and the second for the Association of Hawai’i Artists. When she is not working, she is likely spending time with her dogs, crocheting, obsessing over snails, and attempting to bake sourdough bread.
